Who wants to see more photos of our farmhouse table? I knew it.
Last week our table was looking a little lonely with four chairs…
When we were building the table we didn’t think there would be room for six. It was close to the same size as our previous table that only seated four. We didn’t factor in that there is extra leg room under this table that allows for 6 six chairs.
We headed to Des Moines last week to spend Thanksgiving at Nate’s sister’s house. Des Moines happens to have a World Market (the source of the original four Jackson Tub Chair chairs). Convenient. I think so.
Nate was actually totally on board with buying two more chairs. I’m worried about him. The only stipulation was that I had to share a suitcase with him. See, I am the world’s worst packer. Instead of planning ahead, I just throw half of my closet into a suitcase and call it good. I did it though. I only took half. And unpacking was a bazillion times easier. I might be on to something.
Anywho….here’s the table looking all cozy with it’s six chairs…
Stay tuned next week for a tour of our house all decked out for the holidays! Don’t worry, I haven’t started shopping yet. I’d be really worried about me too if I had.
Have you started your holiday decorating? How about the gift shopping? Cookie baking? Gosh, I love the holidays…
Looks great! We've got a similar deal going on in our dining room. We have 6 chairs when really there should be 8. It looks weird to me, but I'm hoping that no one else notices :)
ReplyDeleteYour table looks excellent with the six chairs - just perfect. We had started our Christmas shopping. In fact, I think Lucas is finished his shopping for me - crazy!
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous! I want those chairs!! They look fab with your new table!
ReplyDeleteThe six chairs fit perfectly. It's like the chairs were made for the table. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThe chairs look great!
ReplyDeleteYep, still obsessed with those chairs. I love the cozy new look! I have barely started decorating, but I am about halfway done with shopping!! I always scramble at the last second, so I wanted to prevent that this year. And the baking?! Oh yeah. Have fun in Des Moines!
ReplyDeleteWahoo! Excited to see your Christmas stuff! I'm living vicariously this year as we're stuck in a rental for a couple more months and all our stuff is packed away in storage.. Bah humbug!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Your dining room is really coming together nicely
ReplyDeleteYour table and chairs look amazing.
ReplyDeleteYep, I still love that table/chair combo, especially with six chairs
ReplyDeleteI love your table even more with six chairs! I'm wondering if you might need a larger rug. Just a thought. I love shopping at World Market, mostly because it has those salty licorice candies I was talking about. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks great with 6 chairs! I know what you mean about packing. It looks like I'm moving in when I'm only stay 2 nights.
ReplyDeleteI love your table and your chairs, and your floors and paint colors and your area rug and your....oh wait this post was about the chairs!!
ReplyDeleteThe table is fabulous and it actually looks better with the six chairs than the four. Great style.
ReplyDeleteLove it. It looks like something out of a catalog. More seating is always a plus!
ReplyDeleteI agree, more seating is always a plus! I love the whole look. Do you have any trouble with keeping a rug clean under an eating area? I've been going back and forth about it but like how much cozier it makes it look.
ReplyDeletethis is just perfect. wish i could fill one of those 6 seats :)
ReplyDeleteAdding the extra two chairs adds that little something extra - looks even more amazing.
ReplyDeleteLove it! Your kitchen is going to look amazing with your new table, chairs, and lights!!! So happy for you!! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, those chairs look fantastic with that table!!! I Love. It. Totally going to steal this idea! Thanks!!
