We were serious sloths this week-end. So lazy. I’d say it was wonderful but we were all kind of antsy. I’ve been feeling a little uninspired lately. I’m not sure what project I want to tackle. Our vacation is also close and I don’t really want to start anything big before then.
I feel that this photo sums up our week-end nicely.
I did manage to update the art in the mudroom. This mudroom is good for me. I can change things up inexpensively. It was previously rocking holiday art with updated chalkboard art. It now has a few touches of spring.
Lambs and flowers are my favorite things about spring. There was a pasture behind our first house that always had lambs in the spring. Memories.
I gave our chalkboard a sprucing up also.
Good work small Kindergarten child.
All of that updating was a lot of work. Back to being a sloth.
What’s your favorite thing about spring? Any fellow week-end sloths?
Sometimes it's good to be a sloth. We weren't very slothy this weekend. Things to do, gardens to plant-- you know. I like the artwork and chalkboard change up.
ReplyDeletei usually am GO GO GO on the weekends as it is my time that i have to work since chris is home to help with the kiddos... this weekend i got a migraine though and was so bummed to waste half of sunday in bed. :(
ReplyDeleteI agree with Chelsea - sometimes it is good to be a sloth!! I LOVE those kinds of weekends!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of you mud room, I really wish we had one! It looks really cute.
ReplyDeleteI work Saturdays, and Sunday I did a bunch of gardening and a little antiquing. We did have some sloth like behavior last night though, and it was awesome!
I'm a sloth - I slept over 12 hours on Sunday. It was awesome.
ReplyDeleteLove the changes to the mudroom!
I've had some super sloth-ful weekends lately (watched about two seasons of The Office last weekend!) but was at my mum's house this weekend so took advantage of her garden to get some painting done.
ReplyDeleteI love the art updates. The lambs are out here and they make me so happy too!
We were sloths for sure. Nick woke up super crazy sick on Saturday, so my dreams of a finished back splash died immediately. I'm pretty sure Nick and the two dogs spent all but 3 hours of Saturday cuddled up on our bed sleeping. But it was probably a good thing. We probably all needed it. And then the dogs were out from underfoot so I could CLEAN. We also needed that.
ReplyDeleteIt's your blog and you can sloth if you want to. I need a sloth day soon.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Kristen Bell's video? Lots of love for the sloths of the world. ;)
ReplyDeleteI cried when I watched that. I love her.
DeleteI feel like we've been slothy lately, but we've been busy at the same time, just not house busy. We just got back from a mini vacation and I already feel like I need another one!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you ever decide for your upstairs bathroom? Did you decide on which shower curtain, anything else change? How funny is it that I'm obsessed with your upstairs bathroom! haha!
ReplyDeleteI did ponder that this week-end. I just want to make sure my decision is final...ish..... this time. :P
DeleteI had a sloth weekend too, caught up with all the shows waiting on my DVR.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE sloth weekends - it has been a while for me, I may need to schedule one in.
ReplyDeleteI love the pops of red in the frames and basket against the black and white.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I wish I could say I was a sloth all weekend, but alas I ran my first 10K yesterday. However next weekend? SLOTH CITY UP IN HERE.
Slothy is okay! We can't all be superheroes. I like your little lamb and flower art!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing about spring is the tulips! I love your updated frames. Looking out in to your back yard and seeing lambs sounds like heaven!
ReplyDeleteright about now i am wishing i was a sloth. instead i am hurting in every muscle of my body, fun times!
ReplyDeleteIke is so adorable. And slothy weekends are the best.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Love your frames
♥ the simplicity of the b/w + splashy red frame(s) in the mudroom! Those line drawings are perfect accents to your photos.
ReplyDeleteBTW -- congrats on achieving slothvana (Nirvana of sloth?) this weekend. Quite the opposite of whatever that whirlwind busy pointlessness we aspired to...
Whatever small kindergarten child did the quote is pretty talented for his/her age. I'd love a slothful weekend right about now1
ReplyDeleteA slothful weekend sounds pretty great to me, but I dont have one in sight. This weekend will be spent on one fun project and one not-so-fun project, so at least I'm balanced right?
