My Colortopia has this fun tool called My Image Inspiration. You upload a photo of something that inspires you and the tool generates a selection of color palettes to browse through, print, share and paint!
Head on over to my ad free blog and check out what I’m doing with this…mmmm, houndstooth...

Let me know what you think of the results! I’d also love to see a screenshot of your upload. Add it our newly created Flickr group! (I'm getting all fancy with this blog stuff.)
Definitely going to try this with a rug of my own! I LOOOOVE my living room rug and am trying to figure out how to add a few more bright colors to the place while still sticking mainly with neutrals. Maybe this'll help.
ReplyDeleteI have to go on colortopia only when I have an hour or two to burn. I get sucked in like a vortex and before I know it, I want to make over our whole house! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAd-free blog, huh? Fancy. I'd love to hear more about Flickr. It's one program I actually have an account for, but have no clue how to use it for anything.
Nice rug! This Colortopia contraption is pretty cool, I must admit.
ReplyDeleteFunny you should bring up houndstooth. I got into a friendly argument with one of my good friends on Super Bowl Sunday about the subject. She kept calling houndstooth "sabertooth". Me: "You mean houndstooth?" Her: "No, sabertooth." Me: "Hmmm no, it's called houndstooth." Her "Well what's sabertooth then?" Me: "A prehistoric cat...?"
i love that rug and i, too, love my colortopia!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tool! Sometimes I get stuck picking colors for our apartment so this will be fun (and addictive).
ReplyDeleteI havent used this before, but I know what I'm doing after I finish with my daily blog reading!
ReplyDeleteif i had any decor within access and not in storage, i would totally try this! Maybe i will use a random piece of furniture/rug in the rental, haha.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome! Thank you for sharing. And I love houndstooth, so pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteColortopia is so neat! I have got to try this with my comforter in our bedroom.
