I don't know about you all but I stink at planning for trips. Luckily Nate does picks up my slack. Sort of-ish.
We are headed to Sedona/Grand Canyon soon. We would love your input on places to eat, things to do and hiking trail recommendations in both locations! You all didn't let us down in Chicago so I'm excited to hear what your favorite Arizona spots are.
Enjoy the rest of your week-end! We have a great group of bloggers lined up with guest posts this coming week. We'll be back with plenty of photos, tips and stories the following week!
I remember in Sedona having fun on Slide Rock. Natural slide in the beatiful setting. But if you are driving from Phoenix to Sedona- stop in Jermone. It is an old mining town literally built into the cliffs. Eat at the Haunted Hamburger. You will love it!
ReplyDeleteSlide rock for sure! I think you'll like Oak Creek Canyon and Chapel Rock too. There's plenty of shops in downtown Sedona. Also the art galleries where local artists show their work. My sisters hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back in one day. Not recommended except for the most experienced hikers. Have a great time!
ReplyDeleteyou must rent your own jeep and drive the rocks. that is, if one of you feel comfortable driving them. i forget who we rented from, but it was such a great experience, and the boyfriend loved that we had to use an actual map and ascend and descend the rocks where it really looks like you shouldn't. we ate at the javelina cantina, and definitely go walk around the open air mall type thing called tlaquepaque, it's very nice. have fun. after our trip there, sedona is one of our most favorite places.
ReplyDeleteSedona is pretty, everything is red! Grand Canyon is astonishing. The best views are from the South Rim. Try to go there.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a great time! The weather is certainly cooperating for your visit =)
