We woke up to a winter wonderland this morning…
I tried using my new photography knowledge. I don’t think I should quit my day job just yet. Here’s a funny story. I asked Nate what to do when my pictures were turning out too dark. He told me to read yesterday’s post. Always the comedian. But it worked.
The super wet and heavy snow is my favorite. It’s just so pretty. Those poor trees probably disagree.
And I’ll change my “it’s so pretty tune” in about 5 minutes when I have to drive in it. But until then, let’s enjoy the view…
The view from the living room is quite pretty as well…
Too bad I can’t stay on the couch all day and enjoy it! Off to work!
Happy Friday! Any snow where you are? How about you 60-70 degree people? Wait, I don’t want to hear from you. Okay, I do. I lied. Any big week-end plans?
Beautiful! And that view from your window is stunning. So sad you have to go to work...booo.
ReplyDeleteIts actually snowing today! I'm in New England and so far we've had no snow and lovely weather. So I'm okay with it. Have a good day and your house looks pretty covered in snow.
ReplyDeleteJealous! We had a quick freak snowstorm on Sunday night, but it was all melted by Monday afternoon and then Wednesday our temps went back up to 60, which is what it's been all week. It's weird because this is super mild weather for VA in February.
ReplyDeleteHi! Have lurked for a while, but this is my first time commenting. I just wanted to say your view is beautiful! I actually feel chilly just looking at the pics! I'm jealous, too! I'm one of the people in 70 degree temps right now. Went out for a run last night in short sleeves and shorts. It's that balmy-windy-storm-coming kind of feeling, though. Anyway, great job with your pics! The blue of the house and the white of snow: very nice! Scritches for sweet Ike!

I love the snow! I never have to drive in though, as i live in the city and don't have a car...but it does keep me off my bike which makes me sad. This morning there was really light flurry-type snow falling early in the morning when i went on my run. so, so nice.
ReplyDeletethis winter hasn't been snowy at all in Boston...waiting to see if that is going to change.
Great that you can see all those beautiful snowy trees from your window, i love the look of the bare trees covered in white snow.
Your yard looks beautiful in the snow! Here in South Jersey, we've been lucky to have a very mild winter. Keeping my fingers crossed it stays that way for a few more weeks.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are gorgeous! I love how the blue of your house compliments the snow.
ReplyDeleteWe usually have one big snow here, but not this year. I've resigned to that fact now. However, since it is 60-70 degrees this weekend, we are going to start our vegetable garden!
It snowed yesterday morning but was practically all melted by yesterday afternoon. That pretty much sums up our winter so far--which is okay with me, because I don't like driving in it, either!
ReplyDeleteIt was 78 here yesterday and although wonderful, the snow is also gorgeous (to look at, not to drive, walk or be outside in...)
ReplyDeleteThose pictures are so pretty with the snow on the trees! I did the same thing this morning, we had a big snow storm too and I took some pics of the snow:) I love it!
ReplyDelete81 here in San Diego yesterday and pretty close to the same today. I'm not excited, (call me crazy)...wanna switch spots?
ReplyDeleteGreat pics! I think we're starting to get some of your snow. I want a good snow so bad. Last winter I used shoveling the driveway as my strength training work out.
ReplyDeleteIt was 68 when I drove in this morning! But I would love to wake up to that view...Or maybe it's not so pretty and it's your banging photography skilz.
ReplyDeleteI bet Ike loves it. Foster and Cap'n love to romp in the snow.
We spent yesterday enjoying some bright sunlight here. It looks like it clouded up overnight, though. Jealous of your snow.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, the snow on those trees is just breathtaking! We are getting rain in NJ and my kids would just love a good snowstorm this year. Weird winter for us! Your house looks gorgeous!

We STILL haven't had any real snow to speak of.. but it's almost March so I'm not going to complain and jinx myself. :) Have a good weekend!!
ReplyDeleteThose snow-covered trees are absolutely beautiful! Thanks for sharing the pics! Too bad you can't just call in sick and cuddle up next to the cozy fireplace with Ike!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be 78 today here in Orange County - yikes! We only get 2 seasons here....warm & warmer. I'm recovering from a thyroidectomy (been in the hospital for the past 1 1/2 weeks). My mom offered to take the kids this weekend, so hubby and I have plans to go to the movies tonight. The rest of the weekend, I gotta supervise the hubby getting everything set up for the new baby due in approx. 2 weeks!. I don't have anything set up yet!
I adore your house, it is so beautiful. And that living room! I am here in Massachusetts and we have no snow on the ground and I am quite happy about that!
ReplyDeleteThe snow is so pretty!!
ReplyDeleteWe have a high of 84 today, with thunderstorms tonight. I'm about to go get coffee and try to enjoy what little sunshine there is by the river on my lunch break, because it's going to be gross the rest of the weekend. (Tomorrow the high is 62 and it will be cloudy all day, and Sunday the high is 59 with 50% chance of rain.)
Other than staying out of the rain, I plan to try to work on the guest bath some more. Hopefully we can get that moving along at a little faster pace.
It is soooo beautiful and hopefully your drive to work was just as gorgeous! I agree the heavy snow that sticks to everything is picture postcard beautiful.
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh...those photos are stunning. on days like that, it is so hard to resist staying home with your pajamas and a mug of hot cocoa, lying on the couch, and watching HGTV marathons all day....
ReplyDeletesigh. it was snowing when i woke up here, but it is all melted already and gross rainy mud now.
I lived in a flip flopped version of your house in Des Moines upteen years ago. I loved looking out the windows and seeing those lacy white trees. It was lovely inside by the fire. What I don't miss is shoveling that bank of snow at the end of the driveway after the snow plow went by. Still, I have fond memories of my time there and wonderful friends I still keep in touch with. Thanks for jogging my memory.
ReplyDeleteWe have only had 2 measly inches total this winter in Nashvegas. But I'm okay with that, the entire city shuts down here when it snows. We are not equipped for it! It was 74 yesterday, and I am A-OK with that! Bring on spring!
ReplyDeleteJust moved back to Minnesota from Georgia. I went from 80 degrees to snow. Bleh.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend my sister and I are starting our own remodel of our mother's house. Should be interesting!!
Oh my goodness is that gorgeous! I would love to see winter like that...just once.
ReplyDeleteI can definitely tell you we are NOT experiencing a 65 degree, sunny day here. The trees are definitely NOT blooming, the daffodils NOT smiling; NO birds chirping. Nope, not happening.
You know, we only live two hours south of you, Michelle, and we have green grass. GREEN GRASS! In Iowa! In February! :D
ReplyDeleteIt was in the 70s today in North Carolina, but now there are tornado warnings, rain, and a cold front coming in...my cherry tree is blooming and daffodils are out! But that snow looks beautiful and pristine...
ReplyDeleteAh I totally am in the same boat as you!! Yesterday I sat outside in the sun for almost an hour and enjoyed an adult beverage, this morning there is 4 inches of snow on the ground and its still dumping. Oh joy...
ReplyDeleteThis girl went running in the 70 degree AZ weather. But try not to be jealous... It'll be 105 here in like 3.5 weeks and you'll be sittin' pretty ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're SO lucky!! Our weather is so confusing here in NC, two days ago we had 70 degree weather but then last night it dropped down to 32 with snow flurries. We haven't had an actual snow this year.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Your house is gorgeous!
That's beautiful! We are 60-70 degree people here. Yesterday I weeded the flower beds. Our plants are so confused around here.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! There was just a dusting in southern il.
ReplyDeleteYour house is a beautiful color!
