Swap This…Day Four

Welcome to day four of “The Honey-Do List” blog swap!

In honor of Valentine’s Day, I’ve teamed up with Erin @ His and Hers, Kelly @ View Along the Way, and Carrie @ Hazardous Design for four fun days in which we’ll be celebrating DIY life with our husbands.

Today’s topic over at Hazardous Design is “If My Husband Decorated My House.”  Head on over and check out what our house would look like if Nate was in charge…

Did you miss the posts at the beginning of the series…check them out here, here, and here!

What is your significant others decorating style?  Camo?  White walls?  Dorm furniture? Oak trim?

I’ll hopefully have projects to share next week.  If I don’t get completely sucked into Downton Abbey.  I can’t guarantee anything at this point…

  1. OMG Downton Abbey has completely taken over my life, too!! I think this weekend is the last episode (the Christmas special) so I'm not 100% sure what I'll do after that. My friend just sent me a link to some Downton Abbey Paper Dolls and I nearly died.

  2. What is this Downtown Abbey that everyone is talking about?

Before we were married my husband had quite an interesting mix of prints in poster frames, target furniture (nothing wrong with that) and Nascar memorabilia (definitely something wrong with that). I've religated the Nascar stuff to the "study" aka John's room.

  3. Adam would be all over that oak. Gawwwwd. I think because his mom decorating style is "country goose" he kinda has the same...

also there would be Illini posters everywhere and back to the future posters. YIPES.

IDK what downtown Abbey is. I feel like its a show my grandmother would watch on Hallmark? I will have to check this out!

  4. Obsessed with Downton Abbey. Hubs was sweet enough to get me season 1 on DVD for Valentine's Day. I think it's the costumes and the romanticism of dressing for dinner that gets me. As for his decor style - he has none. He would be perfectly happy with the mishmash of hand me down furniture from his college days and nothing at all on the walls. Love this series. Thanks for sharing.

  5. These were so much fun to read! It definitely shows how much you couples need each other and incredible teamwork in order to achieve your awesome homes today! Perfect posts for Valentine's Day. :) My husband's room in college was... sad. The only decoration on the walls in the living room were a dart board and MANY holes in the wall because of said dart board.

My parents are obsessed with Downton Abbey. I am not allowed to call during that time. I think I am missing out.
