A Lotta Chip Cookies

Today we would like to share with you a recipe introduced to us by my grandmother.

A Lotta Chip Cookies contain “a lotta” chips.  Hence the name.  They are a delicious combination of about every kind of baking chip imaginable.  Makes you want to eat a lotta them…

A Lotta Chip Cookies

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup each:
    • milk chocolate chips
    • semi-sweet chocolate chips
    • peanut butter chips
    • white chocolate chips
    • butterscotch chips

Combine sugars and wet ingredients. Combine dry ingredients.  Mix together.  Add chips.

Drop by rounded tablespoonful 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.  Bake at 350 for ~10-12 minutes.  Cool 1 minute and then move to wire rack.

What’s your favorite recipe from Grams?  Any big week-end plans?  I think we’re headed to a hot air balloon festival.  Should be interesting!

  1. Those look amazing!!! My favorite grandma recipe is her canned homemade pickles. Though, I've tried the recipe and they don't taste the same. Must be that grandma love that goes in there. Happy Friday friend!

  2. YUM. Those look delicious. I think my favorite recipe from my grandma would be her cheesecake. Holy yum. Our weekend is going to involve excessive amounts of plumbing and cabinet painting. And excessive numbers of miles run. Maybe I could just sleep through the weekend instead???

  4. Whoa - you're telling me you can COMBINE different kinds of chips in one cookie? I'm totally in. I'll take 6. For now, then another 6 in five minutes when those are gone.

  5. That looks awesome. I'm so in the mood for cookies lately. Peanut butter in cookies is just a pipe dream for me though, my Rob is allergic and can totally tell if I've snuck a reese's cup in at some point in my day!

  6. Girl, how did you know I was craving cookies ALL DAY LONG yesterday? You know how they say that before you give in to a craving, you should wait 10 minutes to see if you still want it, and you supposedly won't want it anymore after 10 minutes? Baloney. I've waited like 24 hours and I STILL WANT COOKIES. These look incredible! Send me a box of them, pretty please? ;-)

  9. And now I would like a cookie. But I can't have one. Thanks :oP

My favorite recipe from my grandma (dad's mom) is caramel candy bars. They have nuts in them, though, so I don't think Nate eats them.
