Earlier in the week I had planned to write this great post for Earth day. I was going to write about ways we are helping save the planet.
That was until Thursday rolled around and I went to work (which was particularly soul sucking), walked 3 miles, and cleaned the first and second floors of my house (darn OCD). There is no energy left to walk around my house and photograph earth saving things.
Instead, you get a lame post about a bunny I purchased for $0.75 at the Salvation Army.
Here is lame bunny…
Isn’t she pretty with her shawl and creepy eye lashes?
And here is lame bunny after a good spray prime/paint…
She looks a little like these bunnies from Pottery Barn…
Or at least like their ugly step sister…
Do you have any big Easter plans? We have some family bonding, church attending, and yummy food eating planned.
Happy Easter and enjoy your week-end!
Cute post and you have to love the power of white paint!! Have a great Holiday weekend :)
ReplyDeleteLame bunny looks so much better after her makeover. Have a great Easter!
ReplyDeleteI happen to love lame bunny! It looks awesome. The way you described it though reminds me of Kristen Wiig in the Sister Act/Lawrence Welk skit on SNL. If you haven't seen it, you should go see it. If you DON'T want to see it, then you should just ignore this.
ReplyDeleteI have a creepy spray painted white bunny too with Mona Lisa eyes. It's in a closet because it was always watching me. Yours is so much better.
oh my gosh... LMAO!!! You are hilarious! I LOVE lame bunny, even though she was totally creepy before... she's cute now (in a shy and innocent kind of way)! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat, how could you not like her gorgeous pink and purple shawl!?
ReplyDeleteHaha, I love you comment about your work day being particularly soul sucking. My step-dad is a pharmacist, so I can relate to the joys of the profession. :)
Ok, the "ugly step sister" comment just made me laugh out loud!
ReplyDeleteYou r story is a bit like mine. I had these grand plans for Earth Day, too, how we'll spend the day outdoors, and go swimming, walking, taking photos of beautiful views... and then my son woke up with a fever yesterday. So we spent the day at home and mainly in bed.
ReplyDeleteYour lame bunny is pretty cute.
I also rescued a lame thrift store bunny with a coat of white spray paint. What would we do without white spray paint, seriously?!
ReplyDelete**Sigh**
ReplyDeleteWhite spraypaint has the key to my heart! LOL!
LOL at ugly stepsister. Spray paint cures everything.
ReplyDeleteThat bunny is creepy. I left my laptop open on my bed and I think her eyes followed me. I'm not sure that she is less creepy painted.....now I just can't tell when she is watching me. :o) I'm moving soon and have some Michelle-inspired furniture redos for you. I'll email you pics when I find my camera again and upload them. Not as cool as your stuff but, hey, a girl has to start somewhere.
