Bringing the Curio Cabinet Back

What do you think when you hear “Curio Cabinet”?

Old people, right?  Think again!!

Here’s the Curio Cabinet I purchased off of Craigslist for $5 a few weeks ago (my first Craigslist Purchase)….

And here is the same cabinet today….

Isn’t it lovely?

The lighter blue is Olympic’s Harmony.  The darker blue on the inside is the Valspar’s Schoolboy Blue (left over from our mudroom).

It is currently living in a cute little curve next to the staircase.  I’m not sure if it will stay here or what will live in it but it makes me smile…

And because everyone loves a good before and after….

What do you think? Should it stay in the curve? What should I store in it?

  1. Sweet! What a transformation! I'd add bright & colorful objects.

  2. It's pretty! What a steal, too!

I like it there, but there's enough space that you could add more furniture in the area, too.

  4. Yeah, Nate and I decided last night that it needs some furniture friends. I'm not sure if I'll keep it or not.
It's cute...I'm just not sure where it fits in our house. It was fun redoing though. :) Time will tell!!

  8. Did you just paint the brass/metal across the front?? The window on our front door has some brass colored metal design, and I'm dying to get rid of it - I'm just not sure how!
